Dr. Tyler Clements was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Tyler attended Virginia Tech where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition Food and Exercise. After graduating, Tyler relocated to the West Coast where he attended the University of St. Augustine to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).

While attending Virginia Tech, Tyler also worked as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach for several of Virginia Tech’s sports teams including baseball, soccer, and volleyball. During this time, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. After graduating from the University of St. Augustine, he moved up to Monterey to be with his wife who had been stationed there to attend graduate school.

As a Physical Therapist, Tyler believes strongly in empowering people by helping them understand their own body, movement, and health. Through this, people will have the tools to help themselves move better and do everything in life that they love to do. Tyler has also completed advanced education courses in kinesiology taping and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Massage.

Outside of the clinic, Tyler loves working out, hiking, and spending time at the beach with his wife, Lindsay, and husky, Koda. You can also find him on the golf course in his spare time (he’s likely the one yelling “Fore!”).

Tyler was very intuitive and listened to me he helped me so

My visits with Tyler were great. My visits with some of the assistants to go through my exercises were not. Their attention and concern were lacking and they seemed bored and not really trying to help me. There were a few that were great but I only saw them once each.

He's giving me great results

I had a lot of pain when i started but surely with his help i'm feeling better. I admire his ability on giving great results, his workout routine is easy to follow & understand he is a great listener to my needs and desires. Couldn't ask more of him love the work he has done for me and the results!

Amazing experience

I have never felt such concern and commitment to functional wellness as I experienced in my initial evaluation session last week; and I have every confidence in Dr. Tyler and the support from the Balance PT Team to work together to achieve my goals!

Follow-up to shoulder surgery

Tyler gave good advice and listened to my concerns.

Tyler has done an excellent job helping me heal my shoulder

Tyler asks great questions and focuses on what is needed to help me grow stronger and heal.

Dr. Tyler Clements PT knew his job well I felt comforable.

I missed one appointment and I apologized to Dr. Tyler Clements PT. I had only 2 visits with him.

Very Professional/Very Comfortable

Excellent treatment by professionals...

I was very sorry to discontinue my visits to Balance and Physical Therapy though no fault of yours...I had a bout of A-fib that just laid me low and felt that it could have been initiated by my increased activity with you..My Cardiologist ordered an echo test of my heart and a cardio conversion...

Treated for hip pain.

Tyler was very efficient and helpful. Gave me some exercises to do at home. He also never pushed me too much as some physical therapists have done in the past. I am currently pain free. After an MRI, I found I had a slight tear in the tendon and also tendinosis. I would definitely see Tyler again.

Tyler is an excellent therapist

Tyler help me on several levels: strength, balance, and emotional. My depression actually began lifting after two or three sessions when I saw I was getting stronger. I'm lookinng forward to continuing therapy with him.

Very considerate.

Thank you Tyler for listening to how I was feeling. He took care in trying to relieve the discomfort but continue to build on the goal at hand.

PT for low back issues

I'm very pleased with the physical therapy program that Tyler has set up for me. He is very knowledgeable and conscientious. He has tailored the program to address my weaknesses and to work around my physical limitations.

Five days skiing and no problem

I was having lower back spasms and thought I might have to cancel my week skiing in Aspen. Two weeks of PT and I went the whole week without a spasm. Thanks Tyler!
